I was just curious if anyone here does (or did) make crafts with plastic canvas and yarn? If so what were some of the things you made? I found some plastic canvas that I bought a while ago, so I went to the store and found the prettiest fall colored yarn, I am currently making the cutest fall colored baskets for a craft fair.

I love to do plastic canvas in my down time or traveling. Baskets, kleenex covers, coasters. Post pics when done would love to see what you have done.

I sure will!

I do a lot with plastic canvas. Right now I'm making a Texas shaped magnet. In past made: Christmas tree ornaments, Jesus signs, coasters, frig magnets, snowflakes, coasters, tissue holders, etc. I like to work on that when sitting watching tv at nite.
  |
I piddle with it on occasion.... I"ve made Christmas ornaments, tissue box covers, dolls, coasters, wall hanging, salt/pepper/napkin holders, wall hangings, bookmarks, animals, placemats, purses, bags, totes, barbie furniture. A GF is making a complete nativity scene.
The possibilities are endless... |
I've mostly made tissue cover holders, christmas ornaments.
|
That's next on my list, tissue covers.
|
I bought some plastic canvas at Walmart for my GS to practice stitching. But the older yellow plastice needles that I use to use don't fit in the holes.
|
I made Barbie furniture.

only done bookmarkers!!

The furniture really wasn't that bad. It was time consuming, but well loved.

I use plastic canvas in the bottom of the purses I make, I put fabric over it and remove it when I wash the purse. Works pretty good.
I've also made the kleenex covers that fit the boutique kleenex boxes and I found a great book for making coasters that are all quilt blocks - those are my favorites! I've also made little Easter Bunny heads that hide Hershey kisses. |
