I use to use plastic canvas and stitch yarn through the holes with a yellow plastic needle. --to learn how to sew. I bought some for my grandson to practice on , and the holes are smaller and the needle won't fit through the holes. I bought these at Walmart. Has anyone else tried these? or know where I can find the ones with bigger holes? Thanks Elaine

I use them for purse bottoms but I know you can get metal needles with big eyes and blunted points so that he could use the ones you have.

you can also try at Michael's arts and crafts as well as AC Moore's. There are two differnet sizes of holes. Keep looking the one I use to buy were at wal-mart. Haven purchased much of that stuff since I took up quilting 6 years come September.

Do you have a Michael's Craft Store in your area? They have plastic canvas that is 7/inch, 10/inch and 14/inch. the 7 or 10 would work.

Hobby Lobby is another store that carries plastic canvas.

Those stores are about an hour away. But I 'm thinking I might have to go that way soon , to get some better shopping done. I like Hobby Lobby .

Hobby Lobby has many different counts and colors.

10 ct. is 10 holes to the inch and so on. Smaller the count bigger the hole.

AC Moore, Michaels, Walmart, JoAnns, Ben Franklin, and of course, Hobby Lobby.

You might want to google craft stores closer to your home and call them. That seems like a long way to go.

Yes , that is a long way to go , but unfortunately there are no other craft stores---besides Walmart.
