A friend is getting married and has asked me to monogram running shorts for her bridesmaids. I would like to place the monogram on the bottom left side of the shorts but there is a Danskin logo there. I have been stitching out monogram "prototypes" on similar polyester fabric and placing it on the shorts to see if the monogram would cover the logo, but I am not sure that it will. The logo is not vivid, but I still do not want it to show through. Any suggestions? I could place it on the right side on the shorts....but it just seems to me it should be on the left.
Please share your thoughts as my ideas have run out.

Can you put the monogram on the side, straddling the seam (if there is a side seam)?

i'd put it on the right.

or go NorthFace,,,,,put it on the back

I wouldn't cover up an existing logo. I'd put it on the right and make sure it feels comfortable.

I would place the monogram on the right side. It will look fine (and every thing will lay correctly, no lumps or bumps).

I'd place it anywhere except over the logo.

I would also just put it on the right.

could you put it above the logo?

The bridesmaids are young and would prefer to see the "status" of the logo on their shorts. Just put it on the right hand side. I'm sure the girls will love it!!

Forgot to add.....please don't make the monogram larger than the logo, unless the logo is really tiny. It's not a competition...it's a gift.

Danskin is not a high end name brand so I'm guessing the logo is a screen print and not an embroidered one. If it's screen printed you might be able to use a pressing cloth over it, iron it and melt it off the shorts. If not, put the monogram on the right leg. Wad-Mart sells Danskin so you could buy a pair of shorts and try it out.

Why couldn't it be somewhere else like on the right side ? Or on the back ?

I was sitting here and just looked down. I'd go with the right side.

I would ask her if on the right is ok with her. Is this a freebee or are you charging her for them? If as a client, you should ask her first. Maybe have her come look to see which she prefers
