My aunt of 99 years old was called home last Friday. She lead a wonderful life and was a very special lady. I made her a log cabin quilt for her bed when she was in assisted living. When she went into the nursing home, it was packed away and sent to her granddaughters house. My cousin asked me at the funeral if I wanted it back. I told her I would rather she keep it, but if it was going to go out the family, I wanted it back. I am a little anxious that the quilt may go elsewhere. The granddaughter assured me it would stay in the faimly. Any suggestions?

I think at this point, you just have to trust that your wishes will be honored :D:D:D

Think of all the love it brought your aunt.... {{{HUGS}}}

The granddaughter knows your wishes. She was willing to give it back to start with, so if she wasn't going to keep it in the family, I'm sure she would have been honest about it and given it back to you.
It was nice of her to ask you. I'm sure someone in the family is quite enjoying your quilt! |
It served it's intended purpose. The rest of the quilts life is just frosting on the cake:)

I'm sure someone in the family will enjoy it.

I'm sure it will be loved by someone else in your family and go on being so loved.

you made your decision and told her your answer- there is nothing more to consider.
