I have a few.
Nuwisha died last month when a neighbor shot her in the head. So this is kind of an 'In memory of photo.' To be fair to the neighbor she had gotten loose and was going after their sheep, but we still miss her a lot. Deegan is my service dog and he's wonderful at it. He seems to like having a job. Kate is the sweetest down to earth quarter horse I have ever met, she's a real 'take care of you type' and has been since she was a yearlling (I know I bought her then and trained her myself). Brenna is energetic fun and a bit of a devil. She likes to play, unfortuneatly that can mean she plays how long can you stay on with me bucking? She's outgrowing that though so that's good. I've owned her since she was a yearling too. I have one more pet, it's Honey a white mini rex rabbit with a couple black spots but I don't have a picture. In memory of Nuwisha- we miss you Deegan Kate Brenna |

*cracks metaphorical knuckles* Alrighty. Where to begin?
Mom and I work at a shelter, so I'm sure you can guess where the vast majority of our pets come from. All of them are rescues. I guess I'll start with the dearly departed first. RIP Scout, our Great Dane who passed away over a decade ago. Gentle giant! RIP Stevie Wonder, our eyeless kitty! He was born without them (ocular myopathy I think) and we adopted him at six weeks. He bonded to me especially and we had to help him along far too young. This is one of his kittenhood pictures! Harvey, our current pup! He's a Golden Retriever, 3 years old this month. This pic is maybe a year old. We adopted him at 8 weeks. Terrible hips and allergies on this boy, but he has the sweetest disposition. A classic Golden. Thomas O'Malley, aka Mr. Mao, our oldest kitty at roughly 13 years. He's young and yawnin' here! Kittanna aka. Poof, one year younger than Thomas at 12. We got her at 1 day old as a little cat seed. She's grown! There's Maine Coon in there somewhere, but who knows how far back. She's Mom's baby. Strat aka. Wattles is my brother's adorable demon-kitty. He's fat as a tick and full of attitude. Got his hands on a serious catnip log. My ratties! I love my pet rats very much. I have seven total. These four are Jeremy, Julie (Andrews), Audrey (Hepburn), and Ondo. Audrey is the most food-motivated of the group. She won't let go of that block for anything! My Granddad (RIP) and Nanna really love the little ratties too. They called them my "meeces" and bought them birthday presents. Most recently, I acquired a baby boy named Iggy (not pictured). I also adopted Lucy and Johanna from a rescue in South Dakota! See Lucy's curly fur? She's a rex. Sophie aka. Loaf is my adorably prissy princess kitty. She even comes complete with satin pillow and unicorn! I adopted her three days after we lost Stevie, sick as a dog with an upper respiratory infection. She hadn't eaten at the shelter all weekend and the cat room was full. She wouldn't have survived another day. |
