Power is back on!
 

Central CT got hit hard by storm Alfred! Many in the Farmington Valley were without power for well over a week. We are very appreciative of the many blessings we have and far more appreciative of things we took for granted. I could not even sew b/c none of my projects were at a point where handstitching was feasible. I am now back in full force trying to get Christmas gifts finished before my family starts arriving from FL and WA on 12/11/11. We hope our whole family will be here for Christmas--a first since my Father passed away in June 2008 (and before that it was the early 90's) May everyone feel blessed today...

Glad your power is restored. That can be so hard when it just goes on and on. We don't usually lose our for more than an hour but my son finally bought a generator because they lose theirs for days at a time. Hard to manage three boys without power!
