I was opening my second story home office window and thought I saw movement on the other side of the wall behind my house. It's a large open area with train tracks going through it. I got my camera and zoomed in and saw that it was a prairie dog. He's so cute. :D I watched him digging his hole, throwing out dirt.

If I lived in the country or forest I'd probably spend way too much time nature watching.

They really are cute and fun to watch. Years ago, I went to a zoo in Tucson, AZ that had prairie dogs. They sat there socializing with each other, looking for all the world like people in a European cafe!

I love going to the zoos that have the tunnels where you can go in them and then pop your head up in the bubble and watch them.

LOL! TERRi, I have never heard of that...how funny would that be? Did you take any pictures of your kids doing that...OR did they take any pictures of mom? :mrgreen:

I think he heard me at the window taking pictures. :-) It didn't occur to me to change the camera to video when he was throwing the dirt out!
