My DIL, Dena had surgery on her neck on Monday. She was experiencing shoulder pains and pains going down her arm. The first dr diagnosed a pinched nerve. But she knew her body and got a 2nd opinion. The 2nd dr did a MRI and diagnosed a ruptured disk in her neck. She had surgery to remove it and cadaver bone inserted to replace the one they took out. They then fused the rplacemnt bone to the other disks. I spoke to her yesterday. She was still loopy from pain meds but is expected to recover. It will take approx 3 months. It breaks my heart because for every step forward that she takes something always knocks her back 2 steps. A sweet person if there was ever one. Anyway if you would just send up a little prayer for her, I'd appreciate it.

Of course Vicki....it does sometimes seem that the worst things happen to the nicest people...I hope she gets to take several steps forward soon!

That about the way it is with her. She always put everyone else first. I am so glad my son found her.

I know someone who had this done and it was extremely successful. I wish her a very speedy recovery to full function.

Poor thing, sounds like she's been through a lot. I can't offer prayers but I hope that all my best wishes for a speedy recovery will suffice.

i will keep her in my prayers ,i know just what she going througth i had the same surgery in 2006 boy the wrost pain i had in my life i had 3 neck bones removed and 3 glue back with donor bones
