This is a pretty cool repurpose of an old sewing table!

I usually hate to see old sewing tables revamped, but this is pretty sweet. I'm not a drinker though so it wouldn't be for me!

It does look pretty cool but it still makes me sad that the machine wasn't fixed.

Some really are beyond repair.

That is very cool.

If it were an old metal machine, it would b different, but the plastic wonders don't last as long. I'm not a fan of chalk paint, but this is cute.

I'm really tired of chalk paint on all the beautiful wood.

i can picture a run on old sewing machine cabinets. I don't drink either, but if i did, i go that route

Cabinets are easy to find at the SA here. People buy the heads and leave the cabinet. I have two - one refitted for my 301 and one painted (with enamel, not milk paint) as extra space in my kitchen. Popover - it was 50s fake limed oak, so I didn't paint over anything solid wood.

I don't think that was a very good Singer model, anyway. No love lost.

It was reparable - looks to be in nice shape.

Well, isn't that very creative !!

I have wanted a pontoon (aka party) boat for years. Found an old one we could afford and thought it was just perfect. Our grandson decided he could make it even better... he made a similar "boat-bar" for us out of an old cabinet he bought online. It did not have a machine in it,so I feel he "rescued it" rather than ruined it. Aren't grand kids wonderful

Cute idea - love the do-it-yourself mindset. So much more fun than off-the-rack thinking!
