UPS and FedEx have announced a 6% shipping rate increase that is effective January 1, 2010.

This will probably result in a price increases on everything else. :cry:

Figures... and those of us on gov. pensions in the US aren't getting any raise.

Is the PO increasing their rates too?

I haven't heard anything of the PO increasing rates but you never know.

I heard the PO isn't raising this year since they did it twice last year.

FedEx and UPS Increase their rates ever January 1st. The PO Is having a rate increase also both January 1 and in May. I can't remember if January 1 is the boxes and international and in May its the letters and all national 1st class. The post office figures that since the other two carriers can/will/do increase their fees yearly so can they and it was built into the last time they asked for a rate increase, so theirs is now automatic . Which reminds me when I go to work Monday I have to install the new rate card into the shipping manifest :hunf:
