My DH of almost 49 has been battling cancer for way longer than anyone expected. There have been several trips to the ER all with the usual..he can't survive this one. I call the relatives, make the decisions the hospital needs, etc, etc. Each time, looking even grimmer. This time, I called all his friends, too, it seemed very certain this time was it for sure. 3 days later, he is better again and will likely be sent home w/private nurse. I told him I had been cleaning out his drawers and closet for space to put my fabric! I couldn't believe how hard he laughed. He said he was probably lucky I hadn't taken all his clothes to a shelter yet.

Good that you both still have a sense of humor during this difficult time! LOL! I probably would have told my husband to hurry up alreay!!!

Humor is so essential to good health. No wonder your dear husband keeps beating the odds. His sense of humor has no doubt served him well. :-D
|
It is good you are both able to keep a sense of humor. I am so sorry to hear that this horrible illness is trying to claim another victim. Hugs and prayers for both of you.

Life can be funny that way :) Glad you are all doing better.

Smiles and good thoughts coming your way!

It takes less effort to laugh than cry. . . . I always tell my husband, that if I die first, he's not allowed to bring his new girl friend to my funeral. I don't know why, but it always makes us laugh too.

I think it's funny. Sounds like me and my husband.
He always tells me if I go first he'll grieve at least 10 minutes. Then his calling my best friend to clear out my sewing room to make room for the big screen man cave. You're in my prayers. |
Gallows humor. Hm, not sure what wishes to send - regardless, they are all good ones.

Coping with life's difficulties successfully is all about attitude. I applaud you and your DHs wonderful attitude. God bless you both during this time. I pray He comforts you and never stops embracing you.
