Does anyone else have too many birds nesting in your tree, creating a problem for your car, if you know what i mean. I tried rubber snakes up the tree, worked for a while, tired an owl, C.D's. What else do you know of that may work. Help!!!!

I know the farmer use air cannons that shoots off at random times. It sounds like a gun and scares the birds way. They use them in alot of the orchards out here in California. I don't know where you can buy one. But then if the trees are close to your house the noise would probably bug ya. If they are fruit trees a nursery should have shade cloth. It's a netting that goes over the trees to keep the birds from eating the fruits. They use them especially for cherry trees.
Good luck..Happy Stitchin' Linda B.

You think you have problems? Some time ago parts of my town had an infestation of Buzzards.. Vultures. Big guys. Think of a cup of oatmeal, add some charcoal, bits and pieces of long dead critters, all of that on sidewalks and cars and even people who loitered on their way to somewhere.

Town tried cannons, loud music, cursing, were talking about hiring a witch to get rid of them, and some folks thought of shooting them and/or cutting down trees. Others suggested fire hoses. Finally they felt unloved, left and went somewhere else..

I just got some cat repellant because there's 3 neighborhood toms who come to my front screen door where my altered tom sits inside in the sun light, then they back up and pee like a fire hose on my screen. The repellant is mostly pepper of some hot variety, you might try that in a spray. Just be sure YOU are protected while doing this, then run inside while it dries. It won't hurt the birds but maybe they won't like it. Just a suggestion.

You might want to also talk to someone in the county farm advice office. They have some pretty smart folks there.

I heard that hanging old cd's in the trees work.

I live near these farmers and I want to keep them awake when they go to sleep. They are very loud.

Maybe lots of bells tied in the branches of the trees?

Pepper spray will not work with birds. They are immune to the effects of capsaicin, the chemical that puts the heat in hot peppers. Many birds in fact relish it like parrots and such. Unfortunately I can not offer an alternative other then covering the car. In my area, the towns have been trying to fight the nightly roosting of crows. They have been using the boom cannons and that succeeds in sending the crows a little down the river to cause problems for the next town over.
