Who saw this? That one guy with the 50's hair could be Ryan Reynolds brother! They look so much alike! I am NOT a clothes horse. but I do so love that program! Its a good thing I do NOT live in NY because this chubby body would definitely NOT look good in ANY of the designs. The designs I really liked, were made fun of and vise versa on the others. What did YOU think?

I always watch Project Runway. I like to watch the garment construction and the sewing process.

I also love Project Runway...How do they make those patterns?

I love this show, too. I have a quilting buddy who is also into the show, and we usually have to talk after each episode to talk about the designs, and the desingers. I think most of what they make is beyond what anyone I know would wear, in fact if it looks like something I would wear, it is sure to lose.
And I loved the bird seed dress tonight!

It was amazing to see what the designers came up with; and their creativity at work.
Love that show.

I also love watching the challenges and what they come up with!!

I have to admit that I preferred the dress of the designer that got kicked off last night the best. But then I came home from my honeymoon to sprouting birdseed all over the place. We had that in place of rice.

Did they all go to design school first? And how in the world can they sketch the human body so well? I can't even draw a stick person!

Occasionally one of the judges will say, "That's terrible. It looks like something your 70 yr old grandmother would wear!" I'm a 70 yr old grandmother and I would never wear what he is referring to. I think he has never seen a 70 yr old body that has never had cosmetic surgery. Does he think we wear sleeveless tops? Does he think we wear our skirts 3 or 4 inches above our knees? When he says this I think the outfit is just too modest for their taste. Let me model one of their "grandma outfits" and he would never call them a grandma outfit again~LOL In fact I would love to see them take the contestants to a nursing home instead of a hardware store. If you want a real challenge do it where the body itself is a challenge, where the model can't wear heels, the hair is only grey, the face can't be improved by make-up - where the clothes have to live or die only by themselves. Where they have to fit or they won't go on at all. Where they need elastic waists because just because the waist fit at 8 am doesn't mean it will fit at noon.

I love this! You've struck a real chord. That is what "reality TV" should be about.

I'm not 70 yet nor am I a grandma, but fitting my body would still be a huge challenge. The dress form would look more like a tackling dummy!

I do watch the show occasionally, but only for the actual runway part. I hate all the whining and bickering. I can get that from my husband!
