DD passed her qualifying exam for her PhD (physics) yesterday! Just wanted to share with the world! (She's a good quilter, too!)

Congratulations!

Now, what will she be doing with a Ph.D. in physics? What area of physics did she focus on (astrophysics, nuclear physics, mechanics, etc.)? Do you happen to know what her thesis was on?
