Thank you so much for the tip! I work in a hospital and am constantly washing my hands and using hand sanitizer. My hands are so dry and my nails are an embarrassment to me. They peel, crack and look awful. I am heading to Walmart later today and hopefully will be able to find this.

I don't know what causes it, but I have one nail that used to do that. I started pressing it down...and kept it really short -- even when it did try to grow. Since using hoof, I haven't got the problem!!! I'd forgotten about it till you mentioned it!

Wow, Thanks. My nails are so ugly!

Does anyone know why nails peel, break easily, etc.? I was taking 2 calcium pills a day but doc said to stop as too much calcium can cause calcium kidney stones. I'm looking for Hoof next time at WM. Thanks for the tip.

No, I don't know --I know mine did that for a long time. They told me it was because my hands were in water all the time and to use gloves --- I did, that didn't help. I tried everything -- calcium, Knox geletin, gloves, putting soap under my nails when working outside (WHAT nails????). Nothing worked until this HOOF. I sure hope it works for you! I'm now on 2nd manicure (my own) using polish ...wow...what a heady feeling. Thinking of all that $$$ for fake nails for over 20 yrs! sigh. think of the FABRIC I could've bought!
