these are all within the city of puerto plata, which is 1,000 times better than the countryside. i'm trying to keep things in order for you. the produce markets were the only places where the streets were not clean.

these are mansions. painted all colors, very large, beautiful grounds. all fenced in.

this is a street along which middle class renters live in apartments. the bus was going to fast to click. they were dumps by our standards. badly in need of repair, but at least a place to live.
