How long do they last? I mean, I would imagine that eventually the blades in the dies would get dull. Can you send them to be resharpened or something, or do you just have to purchase a new die?

my guess would be my lifetime plus a few others if taken care of and used as instructed..

I have only used a couple of times but as far as I know you cannot resharpen. I clean out the threads in the dies when used so I would imagine that helps. The most expensive part is the cutting mats. I have gone thru several. A couple of times I have reordered and they were on backorder. If you are using the rag die plan a mat just for that. I cut one top with the rag die and about half the second one and the cutting mat had too many holes to continue using.

the mats are considered disposable.. the dies itself cannot be sharpened but unless you abuse them they will last a very long time..

I love mine, I use most dies all the time..

Studio dies have a lifetime guarantee, Go dies don't. But, if you treat them well and don't cut concrete with them, they should last you a long time.

I use the hex and circle die a lot to cut paper templates and I put a sheet of thin paper over the rag die to keep the threads from getting in the die. The die hasn't dulled that I can tell. They still cut great. The original mats were much better then the ones now. My original mats are still going strong and the newer ones I bought crack much sooner. But the original mats cost more. I would pay the higher price for the better quality. If so many hadn't wailed about the price of the mats they would still be the best. Another cut off nose to spite the face attitude.

I agree. the grey mats are horrible.. If I find the white ones, i pick them up whenever I can find them..
