Why is Tropicana field half-empty all the time?? I'm serious here! The Rays are neck in neck with the Yankees for first place!
I asked my husband if he knew why and he said football is more popular in the South. Is that why??

The Rays have only been around since 1998 compared to the 1901 inception of the Yankees. Maybe more Floridians will become fans over the years. I'm so happy that the team is doing well.

The area that houses Tropicana Field is gorgeous. If you ever get the chance to visit, c'mon down!

wish I knew, maybe then we could fill the Marlins stadium also. Might depend on the time of day. Not many fans willing to sit in the stadium when it's in the mid 90's with 90% humidity.

The Marlins are building a new enclosed stadium for 2011 season. (hopefully to complete), Hopefully the Rays stadium is enclosed.

I feel that the people in FLorida don't support their baseball teams. Tropicana Stadium is enclosed and in my opinion its the worst baseball stadium I've ever been in. The acoustics in the place are awful.

Not me!!!! I'd be at all the Marlin games if it was enclosed. Just can't handle "baking to death"
Gonna have to wait for the enclosed stadium to check out the acoustics.
