I've always wondered that myself!

I asked my son, whose wife camps out. He explained she is usually with a friend. About 30 minutes before the doors open, or earlier, weather permitting, one of them takes the stuff to the car while the other holds the place in line.

My mom used to give my daughters (now adults) shopping money for the after Christmas sales. At that time, the day after Christmas was the big shopping day.

Now we really understand. Thanks.

Black Friday sounds exactly like our Boxing Day Sales. Went to one for the 1st time last year with my DD, never again. Spent most of the time in the mall watching the other crazy people while enjoying a nice chai latte (or 2 or 3)

What is the big sale day in Australia?

Usually Boxing day here in Australia. I have never been and never will go as I prefer not to get pummelled to death for a so called bargain. Thats why I like ebay!

Thanks for asking. I had no idea, but read some posts about BIG purchases. Now I know what it's all about.

Oh and Boxing Day is the day after Christmas Day, in case you wondered. Kinda sad how the retail activity doesn't stop for more than one day at Christmas nowadays.

And would you believe the best sales are after Christmas, so it does good to wait, but kids don't understand that. lol

Surely you have seen how crazy it is here when Myers used have the crazy sales ... now they have taken some steps to stop the injuries.
