question on zippers

I keep seeing patterns for cute little bags and items that have zippers. What is the cheapest way to do multiple zippered items? Instead of purchasing individual zippers can you buy bulk or can you buy a "length of zipper" and cut the length and add the ends??

You can buy'' bulk'' we have them at work ...but i find the best way to purchase zippers is the thrift store one day i found a bag of 100 for $2.00...

I buy zippers from an etsy.com shop. The shop name is zipit. You can buy all of one size and color or all one size and different colors. https://www.etsy.com/shop/zipit?ref=l2-shopheader-name

don't forget in old cloths. jean zippers are very sturdy.

I have made lots of little zipper bags lately. Nylon teeth zippers work best because they are easy to cut down to the length you need. I got a lot of 100 zippers on eBay in mixed colors and lengths for about $10. Most of them were 12" to 24" long---I was making smaller bags so just cut them down to 7" to 10". You keep the top part with the zipper pull---I don't know of any way to reuse the excess length you cut off as there is no zipper pull nor the metal ends that stop the zipper pull so I have just trashed the ends cut off.

Also quite time-consuming to remove from jeans.

All of the above, but I also buy them by length, you can buy them on eBay cheaply, they come with several zip pulls.

When I was making panty purses for Christmas last year, I found you can order large quantities of all one length on Amazon for not much money.

In Gastonia, NC, there used to be a craft, thread store a few miles from Mary Jo's where one could buy brand name thread and all sorts of goodies at a wonderful price. I bought zippers from a basket for 25 cents each. Charlie was the owner of the store, but can't find my info on the store now.
