Quick Arm Sling

If you need a quick sling to help immobilize your arm (Bursitis, accident, whatever) try putting on a large long sleeved shirt. Take the cuff of the sleeve (with your arm in it) and button it into a high button hole in the front. It is quite comfortable and really helps you to stop trying to use the bad arm.

I expected you to tell us to go to our stash, pull out a piece of fabric, etc., etc.! Thought you had a genius way to fold a sling!
Your idea is much better! :)

Great idea, and much nicer looking than the sling I presently have to use after my shoulder replacement. Thanks for the idea.

Just a thought, before doing this, I would reinforce the button by sewing a similar button on the back of the original button so it won't tear lose....

When I had both broken wrists in plaster at the same time. I took it in turns to hook my hand in my jacket or cardigan which was fastened half way up. Slings were no use.
