I have a request for luggage tags using football fabric...so I thought a football appliqué would be good. They don't want a window for address etc just the general shape. Free would be ideal! Thanks for any help.

I would start by doing a Google search for football clipart, if you just want to trace a shape.

I do a lot of applique and I use clipart for over 99% of it. great idea Prism99.
make it of brown fabric and add highlight in white thread or use the pain pens for the lacing

How about using football fabric & cutting tag into shape of football? You might use something in middle to make it more stiff… I made my DGS & SIL each 2 using some fake leather & glued initials on….
