quilt show boutique

Hello ladies. I am looking for some suggestions. Our guild is having a quilt show soon and I am in charge of the Boutique table. Our members have been very generous and we have many, many, many items. Although we hope to sell a lot I'm sure we will have leftovers. We do not want to store any of these leftover items. Besides offering them back to the one who made them does anyone have any experience or ideas as to what to do with these leftovers? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Depending what the leftover items are, you could donate them! :)

Perhaps there is a nursing home or other charity that holds a pre-Christmas boutique? You could donate to a group like that. Also, I know in at least one senior center there is an on-going boutique with items for sale. That might be another donation option.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I will add them to my list.

As said ... it'd depend on the "what"!!

Why not offer them at your next Guild meeting for the members to purchase.
I know you don't want to store them ... but again depending on the what ... perhaps they could be used for prizes at your Guild meetings, gifts to speakers, gifts to members who are ill or need cheering, etc.

Donate to goodwill, habitate for humanity, salvation army?

Family homeless shelter or women's shelter? Somewhere that a handmade item would be greatly valued and appreciated.

some of our items went to a group that sells real cheap to school kids so they can buy for their families for Christmas, etc.

We bring them to the next guild meeting, cut the price in half. The leftovers are then donated to nursing homes so that the residents will have something to give as gifts to their family.

Ladies, these are all terrific suggestions and I will be bringing them to our next quilt show meeting. My thanks to all of you.
