ShowMama 05-25-2012 06:34 AM

Oops! I fell off the wagon yesterday. Bought five different fabrics online, total of 9 yards, at a really good sale price. I just couldn't help it!

judykay 05-25-2012 07:00 AM

How did they do that? I am one of the people shown in one of the chairs. (LOL)

Nell Dwyer 05-25-2012 08:35 AM

YUP-that's me alright-But were are the meetings held, I would like to see more people like me who have a GOOD habit-haha

msrosecooks 05-25-2012 09:59 AM

I thought this was so funny and cute.I am new to quilting, thanks to my sis.I useto make fun of her and could never understand how she could never have enough fabric. Hah! the jokes on me now,I am now addicted to looking at fabric and am always wanting to start a new quilt top without finishing my last one.Is this normal? I figure the up side is that it gives me lots of practice.

nancyw 05-25-2012 10:43 AM

I just went to a yard sale fabric sale today and got 15 yds. of good quality fabric (I'm very picky when I by fabric at garage sales) for $30. Felt real good.

nena 05-25-2012 12:22 PM

Poor Alice.

redkimba 05-25-2012 12:31 PM

6 days?!? I'd be on a street corner asking "psst... got any fat quarters?" while looking slightly desparate...

MisDixie 05-25-2012 12:47 PM

Not Me! Not looking for a 12 step for the quilting/fabric addiction, LMFAO

Chasing Hawk 05-25-2012 12:53 PM

Cindy60545 05-26-2012 05:01 AM

I'm the lady in the seat just to her right....hmmmm!

Tudey 05-26-2012 05:33 AM

Wouldn't "Quilters Anonymous" somehow indicate we want to be free of the addiction?

mollymunchkin 05-26-2012 07:45 AM

But only because I have no money....thank goodness I have plenty of stash.....

MimiBug123 05-26-2012 08:59 AM

Six whole days?????? The woman must be in DTs. every time I come in with more fabric, hubby wants to know what I'm going to do with it. I tell him that I am just putting it in the sewing room on the shelves with the other million yards. LOL

Caswews 05-29-2012 07:15 AM

okay who took my picture at the meeting ? they are supposed to be confidential meetings !LOL

raptureready 05-29-2012 07:34 AM

I'm getting better. I can go for several weeks now. What has helped is sorting (or trying to) the hundreds and hundreds of yards of fabric upstairs. However, when I go on my monthly quilting retreat or when I see a garage sale with fabric at a good price............ If we go to Texas this year and pass by Marshall's Dry good all hope is gone.
