Quilting Board

After being frustrated with the look of the new board, I decided to stop using it for a while. After about 2 months, I went back to the board and it was just like seeing it for the first time. I understand all the ins and outs of navagating the board and now enjoy looking around again and participating again. Maybe if you get away from it for a while, it will be easier for you to get it. I love this board again and look at items everyday and get so much useful information from others. Thank You Quilting Board for making this site available.

I love this site. I have problems with different things, but I love the people on this site. I love the information and the sales and the pictures, etc. I just wish that after I read a thread, when I push the back button, it would take me back down the page to the thread I just read instead of bringing me back to the top of the main page (or whatever page I'm on) and having to move back down and find the next topic.

welcome back.

jcrow,

If your browser has tabbed browsing, you can view the thead that way instead of having to go "back". Just right click on the title of the post, a dialog box should come up, and "open link in new tab". I view/read posts this way, either in
"full version" of the QB, or in the archive. Usually have numerous tabs of threads open at the top of the browser, with the section of the board in the very left (first one I opened). Once each is read, I can close them using the x on the right of it's tab.

Hope this helps!

One thing I really like about the new board... if I'm reading and not logged in and want to make a reply to a post, I can log in at the top and stay on that post. Before, I'd have to go to the main page to log in, then try to find the thread I wanted to post a reply in. Very frustrating and usually took a while to find.

I love the Qb- my biggest headache is keeping my PMs under 500- with hosting swaps its nearly impossible..

BUT I LOVE IT HERE !!!!!

Murphy1 03-27-2012 07:33 PM

I still come everyday, but find that I prefer to access postings by going to the archive at the bottom of the page. It is very easy form me to see all posts and know where I left off.

Still have one complaint LOL I can't post pictures!! I did once and everything went great! Then took more photos, same camera same setting. They won't post. I have tryed resizing, used diffrent camera, finally just gave up. Maybe it's my computer, repair man laughs at me when I call and tells me its to old to fix, get a new one! LOL When I win the lottery, oh waite! You have to buy a ticket before you can win. LOL I don't gambel.

Welcome back. Looking forward to your comments or pictures. Your avatar will get my attention!

My problem is that I can't remember all the features and how to do it. But when there's something to learn in quilting, that sticks! But the computer stuff, I'm just challenged. Period. But I'm learning a little all the time.

I only joined last October & maybe that's before the changes to the QB but I LOVE, LOVE this board. The information sharing & tutes, pictures etc. are the highlight of my day. I have leaned so much since joining here that I will be forever grateful. The members are the BEST !!!

Sometime you have to walk away, to get a better understanding.

I also come everyday & used to go to archives first but now that I can use the board better I find myself opening to the daily most read first. Then as an added enjoyment I go to the archives and see what's new.

I must admit that I do not spend 10% as much time on the new board as I did the old. I hesitate to say that though because about 2 weeks ago I posed the question on a new thread and the admins deleted the thread after only 3 replies. The replies were not flame or anything. Oooppss now I wonder if this comment will be censored or if I'll be kicked off. Hope not. My question 2 weeks ago was just an innocent question. Very upsetting.

This is the best site for me. The old setup was great and this new one is great also.

Momma_K 03-28-2012 11:33 AM

I love coming here, it's my only getaway from the real world anymore. But last few months I feel I'm slipping away from the group. Ever feel like ya just don't fit in? I'm still searching for something I can do in a group that isn't so costly. BUt, I'm not leaving.

pinecone 03-28-2012 02:32 PM

I couldn't access the forum after the switch because my browser was out of date and Windows 98 isn't supported by the newer versions. My kind daughter had an old computer hanging around and dropped it off a few weeks ago. Now I'm back in the group! :)

I too, took a break and now that I have come back am learning to use this site again.
It continues to be a good place to be.

Welcome back! It took some getting used to for me also and I'm still learning how to get around but I like being able to log in and stay on my page. Seems like a small thing but it was what kept me for participating before the change over. So to everyone who worked hard to bring us this new board, my heartfelt thanks. To everyone who keeps this going - many thanks too!

Jingle 04-04-2012 05:44 PM

I'm so glad you are back. I stuck with this board after the changes, I looked for help topics and hunted and picked my way through. It really wasn't all that hard to learn, it has always been great and still is.
