for anyone who needs a quilting frame check out this website:

You can build your own frame and use a featherweight. It is fantastic. My son built mine. I used the flynn quilting ends on mine instead of building the wooden ones. I would add a pole underneath to roll the batting on. You will love it. I stipple all my quilts now.

Are they using a home sewing machine? Is there enough room to quilt it or would you still be limited to something like 2 inches of room to quilt? I looked at the compatibility chart for the grace speed control and my machine (janome 10001) is not listed. Bummer.

I use a Singer model 66 and have more room than using my other machines. My son hooked up a dimmer switch to control the speed of the machine. I tried a Brother 6000 but it would not work because of the computer workings of the machine. If you use electric conduit pipes you have more room for the quilting. I ordered the ends for the Flynn quilting frame for the conduit ends.
