I am reposting under a different catagory so because I got word that this post was hard to find. Please help spread the word to your quilting friends and guilds across the country!

NEA Modern Quilt guild in Huntsville Alabama will be sponsoring a quilt-a-thon to make quilts for the Tornado victims. We are looking for donations of finished quilts Lap sizes or larger, Quilt Tops or other quilting supplies such as Batting, thread or fabric. We will be hosting a sewing day/weekend soon, dates and time will be announced. If you are interested in participating or can donate materials, please PM me or contact me at:

Debby Reed at 256-683-2668
or you can go to [email protected] for more information.

GOOD NEWS!!!!! I just got a call from Project Linus here in Huntsville and they will be working with us in this effort.

Thank you!!!!!

thought,
what about setting up a pp account or a link to a quilt shop where we can purchase the things you need for this mission?

My heart and prayers are with all of you in the south right now! I will definitely gather some ladies from my quilting ministry at church so we can put our efforts forth in assisting with this project. God Bless everyone affected by the recent devastation.

Anyone who wishes to make a donation in this matter can contact:

Kat Norman
Quilters Combo
8006 Madison Pike # 20C
Madison, AL 35758-1458
(256) 325-7587
www.quilterscombo.com

Kat does not have an on line store but can help you with telephone purchases through her shop. Everything you buy will benefit the Tornado Disaster in Alabama.

I will also contact Project Linus about cash donations. I am not set up as a non-profit and don't think it would be right to accept cash donations personally. (I Could use them but it just wouldn't be right LOL).
