She would say...'' Whistling girls and crowing Hens always come out to very bad ends''

It never made sense to me and she refused to explain.

In retrospect I think She thought only boys should whistle , so if I was whistling maybe she thought I was being ''boyish'' .....therefore...I would not grow up the ''right way ''.

It was a good thing she didn't know I was climbing trees... ! !

By the way....I did grow up the way my Beloved MOM thought was the right way.
