I remember watching him all my growing up years. he was very good in mentoring young people on American Bandstand.

American Bandstand, I remember rushing home from school everyday to watch it. So sad to hear this. God Bless you Dick Clark.

During my growing up years (pre-teen) he was on every afternoon. The tv station in our town had a dance party televised after the Bandstand of our local teens. I was glued to the TV all afternoon trying to dance. I just didn't have the rhythem, tho.

He seemed to be around for ages. I remember watching American Bandstand and doing the dances. Especially The Stroll

When I visited my grandparents in New Jersey watching American Bandstand was a tradition. He'll be missed.

He was the icon of the teens !! I have to admit I loved American Bandstand and was upset when they took it off the air. I used to watch American Bandstand & Soul Train- trying to learn how to dance the latest cool dances ! Bless his family ! RIP MR American Bandstand! We all will miss you immensely !

It seems we miss the ones most that we grew up with.

Add me to the group, he was a big part of a lot of people. He will be so missed.

I was saddened when I heard about this but what makes me angry is they did and still do such a hype on Whitney Houston who was a drugie and hear is an icon who is clean and has nothing bad to say about him and you barley hear a word.

He is remembered by many and will always be admired for what he was able to do.
