Had to change my avatar for a while just so you can understand why the feet of us Queenslanders will look like that soon.....

EEK!!! But you will be able to get around faster in the water!

Same here is Western Washington! But with the addition of green mildew! So waiting for the sun. Should be arriving soon as the Robins arrived last week.

Joy.lynn 02-25-2013 08:03 AM

Where I live, we need something special for lots and lots of snow!

woody 02-25-2013 12:08 PM

You poor thing Elfi, Queensland has really copped it for the last 3 years. All of the East coast has seen more than their fair share of rain but you guys have have had the worst of it. Keep safe and dry.

nivosum 02-25-2013 02:40 PM

I am going to grow webbed feet here in Mississippi soon.

MaryMo 02-25-2013 02:46 PM

and for us in drought striken Midwest USA (I'm sure there's something similar happening in Australia), could you send some of the rain our way?

love those webbed toes .... how long they are!

Yes, Woody I'm pretty safe where I am, house on top of a hill :) and if the food situation is safe, then it doesn't matter if the roads are closed, I just stay safely at home and give my sewing machine a hard time... :) With hubby away working for another 2-3 weeks - I've got the house to myself, no big meals to make, nobody to worry about, it's just awesome bliss!!!! :)

Might extinguish some of the fires!!! :) The way it's pouring down at times and doesn't stop I was thinking if it rained like that in biblical times, during 40 days and 40 nights, no wonder the earth went under.....

Blowing snow and more blowing snow, not enough to help our drought situation.
Guess I'll watch as it all blows by...
South of us is really getting hammered today:( Free quilt day... :)
First day of Spring is 22 days away.:D

That is too funnny. We have had high winds for 3 straight days. Have a large metal star on the side of house & had to go out at 4 am this morning because it was banging so loud. Didn't you have these bad rains a couple of years ago?

Yes, we had floods last year and the year before. Often it's too dry for months and lots of shrubs, trees, plants die in my garden and then this massive rain comes and THE WEEDS grow like mad..... :(

LindaJR 02-26-2013 07:11 PM

Only thing that makes me happy is I know my well will not go dry any time soon. I keep telling myself rain is a good thing.

feel the same in Skagit county...LOL...someone said they heard the tree frogs today, so spring is coming...

katesnanna 02-27-2013 06:35 AM

Gee! I hope somewhere in the world someone is having great weather. I asked my SIL in Cairns if they had grown webbed feet after cyclone Oswald. Her answer- Yeah and fins too. We can laugh but the people of Bundaberg & Gympie aren't laughing. Our hearts go out to them. I'm sure some of them can't take much more.

mjhaess 02-27-2013 07:46 AM

We had a lot of rain yesterday...It came half way up in my yard....Water soaks in fast but since we are in the low country it does not take much for us to flood....Sunny and 64 degrees today....

IBQUILTIN 02-27-2013 10:31 AM

He says without rain, even flowers won't grow; and after each storm comes the sun

DaylilyDawn 02-27-2013 01:04 PM

I have webbing between my second and third toes on both feet. I was born with it and it is not noticeable unless I point it out.
