I am praying and praying that God would send this rain somewhere where it is needed. Another 1 inch!!! I mop the basement, set up siphons to get the water off the back porch. Walking in the yard is like walking on a sponge. One good thing is that I can stay at home and babysit this but it is really getting old. . . .

redkimba 09-28-2011 10:36 AM

Send the rain here - we really need it.

We're having 2nd wettest year on record in KY. Sure would like to share some of it!

bobbie1 09-28-2011 11:35 AM

We have had alot of rain in Sept also. Thanks in large part to Irene. Had downpours again last night and this AM. Sun out now and then cooler weather for the weekend. Looking forward to it.

jbud2 09-28-2011 11:59 AM

We've had Irene, Tropical depression Lee and now this no-name system that is driving us crazy! Crazy like in the winter when we don't get sun! I got an email today form my sister in Kansas and she said her husband was drilling in grains and it is so dry.

One of us is not praying the right way!!!

Please send it here.Unseasonably warm today 95.

Painiacs 09-28-2011 03:10 PM

We've had some rain but still not enough water isn't it amazing with all the inventions noones come up with a way to sop up excess water to get to drought areas!

slstitcher 09-28-2011 03:19 PM

Send it here to SW Kansas. They say we haven't been this dry since the 30's. It is awful.

ranbro 09-29-2011 03:01 AM

Send the rain to central Texas. Has been over 100 days and it finally rained 0.3 inches two nites ago.

TexasSunshine 09-29-2011 04:23 AM

Send it to us here in NE Texas, 95 today but cooler this weekend.

dojo36 09-29-2011 05:24 AM

another texan here praying for rain. seems funny to me they can build an oil pipeline from alaska to here so why can't they build a water pipeline from flooded areas to dry texas and other dry states. did you hear that we had a 6-inch rain last week - that is - 6 drops 6 inches apart. i could have spit that much.

Caswews 09-29-2011 06:22 AM

Okay ya all need to have some of our sunny skies and 80 degrees which I will gladly share for one day of rain so my allergies will calm down !LOL

countrycottage 09-29-2011 06:54 AM

We need it too!

Put me on the list! I was excited over twotenths of an inch of rain Wednesday!

Owllady 09-29-2011 07:20 AM

Oh, how we could use some rain. We are still facing fires daily and they predict it to get worse.

grannypat7925 09-29-2011 07:20 AM

We had a long, hot summer but rainfall is a little above normal. So far has not caused any problems here. Hope your situation eases soon!

jansquiltn 09-29-2011 07:23 AM

Know what you mean. We have only had two days with sun for the month of Sept. Really tired of it. Can't seem to catch a break. Friends are trying to get basements fixed from the quake and the rain just won't let up.

megs0863 09-29-2011 09:44 AM

I don't think we've ever had this much rain in a 3 month period. Would love to send it down to Texas.

mimee4 09-29-2011 10:49 AM

Sure would love to send a few - perhaps more than a few - rain clouds to you in the west who need water. We've had more than enough!

Stitchit123 09-29-2011 11:03 AM

3 days ago we were 10 inches above normal for 2011 and its still raining and forecast says 70 to 90% chance til the last minute of Sept. I guess its better than shoveling but personally they are both   with me

Sheila_H 09-29-2011 11:34 AM

It finally rained here last night and on and off today but all it did was make it very humid, sticky and muggy. No relief other than the plants got some water.

Boy do I wish we could. I don't remember how many inches we have had but it is way over the records. I am ready to build an ark. I think that I would leave off some of the bugs though.

We got a little bit of rain here tonight - thank you. :)

wraez 09-29-2011 07:19 PM

Isn't it sad that the areas of the country / world aren't getting rain, and other areas are getting too much?

Here in the high desert of CA we don't get much rain, and could really use it. Predictions for next week is rain, but for some unknown reason all the cities/towns around me get rain, maybe even some flash floods (no don't want that) and we 'might' get a sprinkle. It gets so dusty dirty here that a nice long even rain would clean it up nicely.

nancia 09-30-2011 01:11 AM

maybe if everybody in the east all went toward the west we could tilt the country and make the water run down that way. it's worth a try. it works in boats....

MJONW 09-30-2011 01:12 AM

Hey we got the rain last night! I'm in Plano,Texas, too!

nancia 09-30-2011 01:18 AM

oh my gosh, i was leaning that way yesterday! guess i better go on a diet!

mic-pa 09-30-2011 02:48 AM

we have had constant rain for the month of Sept. So many people flooded out of there homes. FEMA and the RED CROSS are here helping. My home happens to be above the water levels but sooooo many people are effected. Its awful. Wish I could send it Sputh.

Nanjun 09-30-2011 09:20 AM

sammy89 09-30-2011 05:16 PM
