Hope you stay another day.

I guess your praying for more rain. We've been getting afternoon TS some with a couple inches of rain we're hearing the thunder start now they said it would be a little later today. Good luck but not to many inches. It's either feast or famine. Sue

PLEASE send rain here!! We have been sweltering in the heat (100+) for the last week or so and not a drop of rain during that period. We water constantly, and my garden is still gasping.

I live in northern Texas. We have 100+ days from June through September. Water bans in effect most of the time. Watering garden just enough to keep blackened peas productive.

There are thunderstorms all around us. We are hearing thunder but so far just noise. We haven't had a good rain for weeks. Old and newer bushes alike are wilting. We have had a couple of weeks of above 100 temps. , our humidity has been very low, very unusual for us. A/C runs constantly from 11A until I turn it to 80 for the night, set at 75 when we are home..

You really don't want to know how much rain we have received here over the past few weeks. As it is the "Rainy Season", either it is almost raining, raining, or thinking about raining each day! But I agree that at least rain keeps the temperature down!

Here on the wrong side of the mountains, we usually only get rain in the spring and fall. This year we didn't. My garden is in horrible shape.

"Hear it rain, hear it rain, pitter patter, pitter patter, on the window pain." Hope you have a nice gentle all day rain.

ranbro 07-08-2012 04:24 AM

YEAH, we had 0.16 inches of rain last nite. Hope we can get MORE.

nativetexan 07-08-2012 08:16 AM

Georgiegirl2012 07-08-2012 08:25 AM

here in the UK it seems to have been raining pretty much non stop since about the middle of May.

sunny42539 07-08-2012 09:05 AM

I wish we could get some too here in Ky. I don't think I am going to have any beans in my garden. We have had 100 plus temps for over 2 weeks now.

Caswews 07-08-2012 06:33 PM

We need rain here in Colorado. It will help to keep down all the wildfires for sure.

Jan in VA 07-08-2012 08:29 PM

We got glorious rain this afternoon, too. Hopefully there will be more tomorrow; things are so dry here I can hardly believe we haven't had fires in the mountains like other places.

None at my house just north of you

Stitchit123 07-09-2012 07:57 AM

We got a nice shower and thunderstorm last night (sunday) and for the rest of the week normal temps in the 80's and only 10 to 30% chances of any more rain. We could use a lot more rain.My SIL says this is the 4th year her gardens have fried. And they have a great rain water collection set-up but in 4 yrs they haven't gotten enough rain to wash the dust off of it.

We could really use the rain in the northern suburbs of Chicago! The thynder storms keep going south. We haven't had rain since sometime in May! At least he temps cooled down! (We were sweltering in 100 temps for several days and before that we had more than a week of above 90 temps! No fun riding a bicycle to work in temps like that!

nativetexan 07-09-2012 12:41 PM

it rained the last two nights and this morning it was pouring when I woke up. the air even smells of moisture. i'd forgotten what that was like!

Ccorazone 07-10-2012 11:05 AM

Rain again

Thank goodness we had rain again yesterday just before dark. My garden sure needed it as does everyone's. Didn't cool off much, just main things more humid. But at least the ground got wet.

Ruby the Quilter 07-10-2012 07:33 PM

Here in El Paso we finally had some rain. Several good rains (for us) since last Tuesday. About 1 1/2 inches since then.
