We had a storm last night. It even knocked out the electric for about 3 hours.

But it cooled down to the 70's and it feels so much better and fresh air to breath.

In the backyard the ground was even cracking open from the dryness.

we could so do with some rain in WA we are in mid winter and have only had a few days of rain since last year apart from a couple of storms

So glad you got some rain. We need it here too!

oh yes, we got a touch of that storm too, it is my sil's fault, she is on vacation at Canadohta lake this week LOL

We had some rain early this morning. Also heard some thunder rumbling. I know what you mean about the ground cracking. I went out back yesterday and noticed a crack that was about a quarter of an inch wide, I didn't know what to think of it. Haven't seen anything like that sense we left Calif.

Oregon would like to trade some of our cool summer weather and rain for some sunshine and heat. In May we just about smashed the records for rainfall. In June we did smash the record for rainfall in that month. We've only had a few days in the 90's and this week we are about 10 degrees cooler than we should be I believe they are forecasting upper 70s low 80s

I had to chuckle when I read this... As I live in WA state, and in my area a lack of rain is usually only a problem one month out of the year LOL
