re doing floors? Look at this!

Found this fun flooring in a magazine at a doctors office. I swiped the mag so I could have this info. If any one is looking to lay a floor, this stuff is over the top WOW!

I've done floors 3x in my life. Love how these look but certainly wouldn't do them myself. Being a realtor I look at resale and neutrality sells. Great looking floors though. Most people change flooring after a decade anyway. So why not go for unique! Option is a wonderful word when multiplied.

Oh how cool!! I really like some of those designs.

I also love the look of flooring done out of reclaimed lumber, like from old barns. And I wouldn't want it myself, but I've been in a (crazy fancy) condo that had leather flooring in most areas and cork in the kitchen. The leather was actually really nice to walk on (in my socks, no shoes allowed in that house!)

There are so many interesting and unique options out there!

My bdrm floors came from a 'moved' house, and the wife wanted something diff. He took the flooring up and sold to us. Oak parquet..I layed 3 floors entirely by myself while my hubby kepts me stocked with pieces and glue. The oak was finished dark, so we had professional strip, sand and refinish. I love my bedrooms. First pix shows in progress--next sows after refinishing. I started in 2011 and did all 3 by 2012. Hey! It took a while for these knees to recover between beginning again. I got a nice compliment from the refinisher...he said I could come to work for him anytime!

Thx to both...we still have enough flooring to do my sewing rm, but I've grown to like the laminate because it is so much easier to swipe the threads and lint. Maybe we will do the dining rm before my toes turn up.....BUT that would mean removing the 7" oak boards with inlaid around the table. Well, maybe another life!

Did you notice that when you select the Gallery there is a Threadle sewing machine converted in to a stand for a bathroom sink. Really neat!
