We have thunder snow last Sunday. I thought I was crazy!

Naturalmama 12-31-2010 07:16 AM

Just a few years ago in February we had a thunderstorm - and tornadoes! Did a lot of damage in a nearby town.

Melinda in Tulsa 12-31-2010 07:21 AM

There were a few tornado's in OK and Western Arkansas this morning. The weather is really getting more weird every year.

I just bought a new pair of jeans yesterday. They were very expensive (miss me from the buckle) and I wanted to wear them tonight. Hubby n I are going out for anniversary but if its so yucky I don't want to get them muddy.

We had the same thing here! I remember cuz my BFF n her hubby were in orocess of divorce. We were taking hunter to see his dad and running VERY late. Troy didn't believe us when we called n told him it was lightning, thunder, freezing rain, and snow all at the same time!

We have had Thunder snow in the past. Didn't hear any in the last storm, but the winds were sure ripping!

CarrieAnne 12-31-2010 07:48 AM

We are having lots of rain....very little snow left!

jacee kay 12-31-2010 07:56 AM

we had a thunder storm last night. It's about 50 here this am. Tomrrows high is supposed to be about 35. Crazy, but I am not complaining about warm weather in winter.

Cyn 12-31-2010 08:15 AM

I have never even heard of thunder snowing before! Didn't know it was possible! I learned something else new :)

littlehud 12-31-2010 08:49 AM

We were in the 60s yesterday. Today cold and a little rain and snow. No thunder though. What a weird winter.

knlsmith 12-31-2010 09:14 AM

Well now we have tornado watches. And my BFF said one of the next towns over has a tornado warning. REALLY?? It IS December.. Right7

amma 12-31-2010 09:41 AM

Stay safe everyone!!

irishrose 12-31-2010 10:53 AM

My son is traveling through these states today enroute from Michigan to Utah. Travel safe, my precious son.

BMP 12-31-2010 11:23 AM

We have had thunder snow quite a few times, its freaky the first time !!

Will pray for your son. I have a son that goes to school in WI. We live in NC. Often pray for him through good weather and bad.

irishrose 12-31-2010 03:01 PM

Thank you for the prayers. I always pray for him and fast my chocolate addiction when I know he's on the road, especially in bad weather. He hit fog and ice in the mountains on his way home. He's a good driver and his old truck is reliable, but I still feel better when he arrives safely. He has a traveling companion this trip. He's transporting a big dog all the way to Salt Lake City.

Hey, girl, they're jeans, made to be worn. What's more important than going on a date with DH? You can replace clothing, but nothing comes before your marriage. Go out wearing what makes you glad. Have fun. Make it fun for DH.

I sure wish I had just one more date with MY late DH.

Just got home from Outback. Wore my new jeans. We won't make it to midnight, lol. But we always have a good time!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

theoldgraymare 12-31-2010 09:47 PM

We had some awful thunder and lightning yesterday, and my brothers were remarking on how odd that was in late December. Makes one wonder what the rest of the winter will be like...

Boscobd 12-31-2010 09:59 PM

It's a bit crazy in Tucson as well tonite. It's in the high 20s and the hummingbird feeders are frozen solid. We've brought them in for tonite and will put them back out at first light in the morning. Brrr - thought I left these freezing temps behind when I left NY a few years back!!
