I called my local SPCA and they are saving the bags.... I will then sew them and return them to them.... I am going to see if I can get some ladies at the LQS to get together one night to do it, depending on the amount of bags... gonna use the bags also for the straps............. so it is only thread!

These dog and cat food bags are very greasy and smelly. What are you going to use them for? I think after a while the oil residue would turn rancid. I am cofused over this one! Please explain.
peace EDIT: I looked at the other post and am still confused :? |
You use the nylon plastic food bags that they are now using for food. you wipe them out and they are fine! you sew them and they are great recyle bags for canned goods from the store! use them for everything... I will sew them and return them and they can sell them at the shelter for money, so i am donating my time to them because I don't donate money anymore, this is a subsitute for money!

This is a very cool idea....good for you to return them to the SPCA to sell for $$s...they need all the help they can find! |
Now I get it! Thanks for the explanation. We have quite the collection of bags from bird seed. My next project has just been decided!
