I noticed that there are red underlined words in the messages from everyone and when you hit the underlined it takes you to a different site. Is this on everyones, or is something going on here on my puter?

Sadiemae 10-01-2011 05:12 PM

I don't have any red lines.

S D G 10-01-2011 05:14 PM

I don't have red lines either.

QuiltnNan 10-01-2011 05:15 PM

i don't have any red lines either. i'm guessing, though, that your computer is set up to display links in your messages as red underlines instead of the blue underlines that most computers have.

I have no red underlines either. Hmm an interesting twist, what happens when you click on one of them? does it ti you to a link or definition?

QUILTNMO 10-01-2011 05:18 PM

dont have red lines

craftybear 10-01-2011 05:21 PM

I don't have red underlined topics either, must be a glitch on your computer

Country1 10-01-2011 05:50 PM

Ditto! No red lines here either!

isnthatodd 10-01-2011 05:52 PM

I think they are random links to random words.

Cyn 10-01-2011 05:53 PM

no red lines here either :)

lovestosew 10-01-2011 05:57 PM

I have them too, and they drive me nuts. Every time the mouse goes over them, I get a pop up. And I have block my pop-ups, so I have no idea what is wrong.

I've never seen the red lines on this board but get them occasionally on emails from family. They are just little bits of info on some mentioned subjects, towns, etc. Keep your cursor away from them they won't pop up. Nothing sinister, don't worry.

blueangel 10-01-2011 07:05 PM

I don't have any

BETTY62 10-01-2011 07:27 PM

I don't get red lines.

sew_southern 10-01-2011 10:19 PM

No red lines here.

Lacelady 10-02-2011 12:32 AM

The only ones I get are when I misspell a word when I am typing. Right click takes me to a choice of correctly spelled words. (The red line is a wavy one).

i did some digging and ran across an obscure reference to that in one of the former owner's posts.

i have no idea how the selection is made, but he coded the board to produce links associated to certain words or references. his theory was that they would lead to things of probable or potential interest to us.

most of us do not see them.

they are safe. :-)
