My son went fishing today and caught this redfish. His passions are fishing and cooking.

Nice Catch. So, I have never heard of a "Redfish" except for in Dr. Seuses Book. Is it good eating?

Good looking fish. Is he going to cook it for you.

My son says, yes it is good eating. I won't eat it tho, I'll only eat ocean fish. LOL

He'll cook it for himself tho.

Red Drum I looked it up, and have ,a bite mom; they are ocean fish that swim up rivers...do not overcook it says...interesting :-)

Oh I wonder if they are like fresh water drum. I love catching those but I don't eat them (slimmy) besides we don't know how to clean them. The days of those fish being eaten are all gone in Cleveland the old timers don't eat them anymore or clean them, but they say if cooked right taste like shrimp

Great catch - yes good eating! Son and husband caught redfish in Hilton Head last year! Great blackened.

It measured 23". He's a chef and always cook his fish.

When he was 16 he caught a red eared sunfish which turned out to be a world record. He got documentation on it too. Of course that was beaten, as he is 28 now.
