Reflecting on years

A school friend is in town for a week, so another friend planned a lunch at a local restaurant known for its great burgers and ice cream. It is owned by a classmate so we were set up with a huge long table. Twenty gals showed up. What a hoot! Next year will be our 50th reunion, so this was a warm up. We laughed, shared memories and had a blast. Sadly there was not a quilter in the bunch. Some of us don't look so bad, but others have really aged. Some spent the whole time whining re. aches and pains, but most of us were too busy to notice. Bottom line I think attitude is what makes the difference.

That sounds like a lot of fun. My husband just had his 45th high school reunion. It was interesting to see how different everyone looked. Like you said, some looked good and some really haven't aged well. Attitude is a lot, but also staying as active and involved in life as possible too. Who wants to be an old sourpuss!

My husband says he is not going to any more class reunions because there are only OLD people there! TRUE! He's 82.

My 45h HS reunion was the last for me. I did enjoy seeing everyone, but found that many that I had wanted to see, had died. I decided to let the past and it's good memories hold for me.....Life goes on and we all change in so many ways. Perhaps if I was able to see some of these people oftener than every five years, I would feel differently. I am now 76......old!

When I went to my 40th reunion the waitress directed me to one of the room in the back of the restaurant. I walked past an open door and it was filled with old ladies so I kept going. Guess what??!!

We are having our 55th on August 2.
Overall, we looked pretty good at our 50th.

We celebrated our 60th high school reunion last year. Lots of laughs, a few tears and loads of memories.
