When I was a teenager, and in a bad mood, I'd buy a new lipstick.

As a young mother, I'd go out at lunch for He Man guys or Beanie Babies. We own 600 cooky cutters...

Now, a bad mood takes me to my online fabric shops/Ebay.

You too?

Confession is good for the soul!

Yep! Help my mood sooooo much!

When I'm in a bad mood I start craving chocolate, especially peanut butter M&M's. But then again, a happy mood can get me craving M&M's too.

I go eat a DOve chocolate. Though I would rather buy fabric!

When I was young, buying anything for the house would get me out of a funk...even a kitchen trash can. Now a days...I need to buy fabric or yarn to chase away the blues!

Not much that a few well chosen batiks can't cure

I used to go into House of Fabrics (some of you might remember that store) and plan out quilts or dresses or whatever. I'd pull all the fabrics I would use and lay them out caressing each one. It would take me hours planning and arranging in the store. My spirits would be lifted and then it was time to go home so I'd put it all back (I didn't have a lot of money to spare for quilting and didn't know about guilds and groups out there and this was before computers).
Now when the bad mood hits I dig out my quilt magazines and start dreaming up my next project. Unless, of course, there's chocolate in the house....

I used to buy nail polish like it was going out of style!!
But what really helps me out of a funk nowadays is taking one of my cats and put them on my lap, do some deep breathing, and listen to them purr. Another great thing is audio books. Gets me right out of my head. Of course buying fabric trumps all this! LOL :D
