I was going to suggest the hinge also, it's what all mine have from the Ehler Danos causing joint dislocations.

There is an adaptor thing they can put in the back of a ring to make it fit. It has hinges on each side of the shank so it opens up like 2 little doors. You put it on your finger and close them around it and it snaps in the back. I helped a jeweler friend out for the Christmas season once and learn some things from him.

My ring is too small now too and I just love my ring. I was thinking of getting a tatoo. That way I will never loose it and I don't have to worry about sizing. Haven't decided yet. I know it's gonna hurt.

They do have something that opens and shuts for rings. It is quite amazing, no-one can tell that the ring opens. I have no idea what it costs. I could send you a picture if you PM me.

My fingers swell all of the time so I had to quit wearing my rings. Instead I would suggest a really nice watch. He will love you till the end of time...

Try spraying your ring and finger with Windex. I don't know how it works but our jeweler uses it when someone tries on a ring and can't get it back off their finger. Works like a charm! My DH's wedding ring has "shrunk" with time and now he uses it when he absolutely has to take it off (like when he had surgery recently). It also works putting on a ring that's tight and it doesn't make a mess inside your ring like soap or lotion.

My jeweler put in 'speed bumps'. I can get the ring over my knuckle and the two little gold bumps keep it from rolling round and round once in place. Work real well.
