Well, friends, I'll be off this forum for a few months unless I find WiFi somewhere. We're heading south for the winter and will be boondocking most of the time --- while DH looks for gold! We'll be in the Mojave desert in California and then different locations in Arizona. I plan on doing a lot of crocheting and appliqueing while gone. :D

If you get to the LA area you should stop in the quilt shop in Northridge, it is called Candy's Quiltworks. They have 10,000+ bolts of cotton quilt fabric, it is unbelievable. They do not have a web site as of yet. Their address is 8549 Reseda Blvd. I am overwhelmed when I go there.

I am wanting to go to Nome, Alaska next year and get some nuggets!! Prospecting is worse than quilting I can tell you that, once you get "Gold Fever" its all over with. I carry my pans with me everywhere I go.

And yes there is gold in middle TN!!!

Yes, we are!!!! Members of GPAA and LDMA. We're going to the LDMA Duisenburg camp. Been there before, landscape really sucks, but they have gold! Are you talking about the Alaska expedition or just go up there? We're going up for 3 months in 2011! I can't wait. and yes, my pan goes every where we go.....when we're on the road.
