Rug Hooking

Would like to try rug hooking or latch hooking. What kind of yarn would I use or what weight. This is all new to me. Thanks

If you can get to A.C. Moore or Michael's they sell the proper kind of yarn in the same aisle as the base fabric. It even comes already cut into lengths. Or you can do a google search for latch hooking and will probably come up with lots of info on it.

I like "locker hooking" as it uses up scrap strips of cotton fabrics. The best part is they can be ugly and it doesn't matter.

Sigh - that is another unfinished project - I have a locker hooked rug started and it is somewhere in the house!

I love locker hooking since I can use my scraps, feels like a free project. also with locker hooking they make the prefect rug.
