Such a sad story. Poor little kitty.
Still haven't heard from them, it's 4.30 pm here already. They know we're waiting :( My son and DIL are in Germany today and I don't have the phone number of these people otherwise I would call myself.

Animals and people can suddenly develop allergies to meds they've taken before and can go into shock, though usually the symtoms of anyphalixis are seen shortly after exposure to the allergin. Could she have gotten dehydrated on the trip preventing the elimination of the sedative from her body? I'd ask your vet if she could have had a heart attack or possible heat stroke?
So very sorry
Thanks for your reply. She could have as she didn't eat or drink anything before she left like the vet ordered. We will call the vet tomorrow and ask what might have happened.

A gentle hug and a special place in kitty heaven if she is indeed gone. If not, she may have seizures which can be dealt with by medication...
I'm reading all this with tears in my eyes and my precious cat sleeping at my feet - praying this little kitten makes it...
Sorry to hear this. Cats are very sensitive to medications, but the story about putting her in a cold room to see if she's alive makes no sense, especially if the advice is supposedly coming from the vet.

My thoughts too - maybe this vet isn't really very sensitive to cats / pets, when I was growing up our vet mainly took care of farm animals, really was rough with our cat when we brought it in    |
I wish i could do something but I can only pray that the poor kitty will have the strength to pull through.....and that those people are able to give her a warm and stable home that every pet deserves......keep us posted.....bea
