Sauder's

1 Attachment(s)
Yesterday, my husband and I went to the Sauder's show, and like always, they have a row of chairs in various places for anyone who gets tired, or, and this seems to be more common, the men who brought the women.
My husband took a seat.

He was sitting there, and I thought, what a perfect photo. No need to tell him the sign was for the quilts on the stage, NOT who was allowed to sit in the chairs!.

He said an older guy, looked to be in his 80's, said to him "You, know, this would be a great place to pick up chicks!"

I took oodles of photos, and will post them early next week, just can't do it right now.

LOL
Got to thinking, maybe Danny thought by 'masters' they meant that golf tournament, and he knew that would be his only chance to sit in that category!

They sure look well behaved!! My Dad used to enjoy sitting and watching people walk around the mall.

I use to buy my husband an ice cream cone while he sat waiting for me. He was as happy as could be, got to eat a cone and also people watching and didn't have to follow me around.

My husband walked around in the other buildings and had a good time. He said with all the kids there on fieldtrips and the ladies looking at quilts, that he got lots of conversation when he went in buildings when no one else was in there.

Wow, thanks for the post! I never heard this before and hubby & I both enjoyed it. He's been waitin' on me for 45 years so far.

Does anyone remember the applique quilt pattern, long ago -- maybe 12-14 years, that showed a bunch of DHs sitting/standing like this at a quilt show?? I'd love to see that one again!

My husband is very supportive of my quilting hobby, but the closest he gets to a quilt show is the motel or the venue entryway where he drops me off.

The real reason I think my husband goes?
He likes to drive his truck. Seriously, I think he loves that truck!
