There have been a few spectacular quilts posted lately that I would love to save so I can try certain color combos. How can I save a picture for future reference?

On the left above a post you will see bookmark. Click there and follow instructions! :D

Millstream Mom, hover your mouse over the photo, right-click and select 'save the image as' ... navigate to where you want the image to end up, either keep the name that it already has or change the name to something that means something to you (keep the .jpg or .gif or whatever the filename extension is - whatever is after the dot).

Cheers,
Linda

Ditters suggestion works to save the photo and message on the board so you can access it from everywhere you can get internet...Linda M's method works to keep it on the computer where you saved it...so you cannot access it from other computers..pick the method most useful to you.

I have an iMac, and simply click on the picture to darken it, go to the tool bar above the desk top and click on Edit, then choose "copy" then in my case I choose to use the TextEdit which is sorta like a loooong post-it note, and then go again to Edit and click on "Paste".

I then can put it in any file I want, or give it a new name and put it anywhere. Doing this has let me discover that I love best the strong colors that dramatically show each pattern.
