just a quick pic of dd, dh and dd's boyfriend and myself and trayden leaving dd at university 7 hours away. She is studying to be a midwife.

Nice looking family and a beautiful dog too.
Hope it wasn't too difficult for you to leave her at school. I remember I cried so hard when my son went off to college and he was only 3 hrs. away lol.

its so hard but it opens all new doors. I love my adult children but I also love being an empty nester

This brought back a memory of when we dropped dd#1 off at the university that was only 20 miles away. We got her settled in the dorm and left.
THIRTY MINUTES after we got home, she came through the door..."WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" we asked...
she responded "I was lonely".. ha ha...

we drove her back to campus and introduced her to some of her dorm mates on the volleyball court... she played volley ball in high school.

I never knew she was shy ... ha ha...

Bless you -kind of a bittersweet day taking kids to college. With DD I thought my heart was breaking-I mean I felt like my physical beating heart was really breaking , pretty intense! Well- DD called me 30 minutes later to see if I was okay!

Love the pics!
What a wonderful profession she's chosen. I cried buckets every time one of my 3 sons went away to college. And every fall when they went back LOL :D

Nice pic. I hope all goes well for her. It is and adjustment for all.

My oldest dd and I were both ready for her to go to school, not far away so I knew I would see her. My youngest was harder as it was farther away, but she was with her dad so that made it a lot easier for us. I enjoyed the empty nest most of the time. Not anymore, grandkids are here, but that is wonderful.
