How scary - glad to hear Greyson will be okay. Keep us updated.

Goodness, glad your son wasn't hurt and that Greyson survived the attack as well.

A couple of weeks ago a neighbor of ours down the street found bear tracks in their backyard. The Game & Fish people came out and said that from the tracks the bear appears to be a young one and probably about 200 lbs. And we live in a subdivision in town that backs up to the river, so they figured he wandered in from down there. Now we're afraid our cats are going to encounter the bear some night if he comes back.

That just sounds very scary!!
I am glad everyone is alright or will be!

Oh gosh....what a scary story! I hope Grayson pulls through the ordeal well....I can't imagine how scared they all must have been! Wow...lucky...

Hoping he has a speedy painless recovery.

So sorry that happened to them. I love German shorthairs, fantastic breed. Very thankful we have no bears around here. We do get an occasional mountain lion though and that's bad enough. At one time I had 17 cats and now am down to 2. I think it's probably the coyotes or big cats that get them. Hope Greyson heals well.

Let's hope Grayson has lots more years left to bask in the glory of his bear adventure!

awww so sorry to hear of the bear attack. Happy to hear that Greyson is home and his injuries will heal. Both your son and Greyson were being watched over.

The news here just showed a main coon cat (usually a house cat) was sitting on top of a telephone pole (in Colorado) for three days and wouldn't come down.
his collar was found elsewhere so they think the cat was frightened by a wild animal. Finally the electric company had time to send someone to help get the cat down.
we've had high winds and they were very busy.
just had a storm with tons of hail, good thing the kitty was back in the house by then!

So glad everyone was ok. Hope Grayson gets better real fast.

My cousin told me last week that there was a bear in the residential area where my aunt lives in Tacoma, WA.
