seam ripper broke

Anyone had the tip of their seam ripper break off? It's the white one, good one, had it for a long time...luckily I had a new F/P ergo one....

Yep, all the time. I do a lot of repairs on heavy jackets and winter stuff so I have learned the hard way not to use the fine seam ripper on those. I keep a look out for the heavy ones because I been knowen to snap the off too.

happened to me several times. Also I have broken the tension wire on several machines and they still work.

Yes. I finally "splurged" on a good one from F&P. Third or fourth time I went to put the top back on I had it at a slight angle and the seam ripper point was gone. That convinced me to not give them any more of my money since this was not the first time I had a problem with them.

The ripper that broke was clover round one and I have had it a long time...the F/P ripper is not a long and harder for me to use....

I returned 2 to Joanns, they said the F/P have been breaking like crazy! Best one I have found is made by CLover and I bought it from Nancys Notions! It stays sharp

Patski, we'll see how long my f/p lasts.l....I have had the clover for a long time

I have not snapped any but I have worn them out. Dull seam ripper = snapped seam ripper.
