Just saw this on tv so Googled it and found a video. Now if we could just find one that would drive the whole trip so we can take a nap!

I could really use this. I'm pretty bad at parallel parking, and it's necessary in my neighborhood. I don't hit things or park on the sidewalk, but I need a pretty large space and have to do a lot of fiddling.

I want this!! My neighborhood sounds like Seanette's-parking is premium space and now with spring here people have those stupid free-standing basketball hoops (my major pet peeve!!!) so there's even less parking. I'll drive around the block to avoid paralell (sp) parking. Next I want a car that pumps it's own gas LOL.

I've seen that video. I can see how it would be handy for people who need to parallel park. We only have two parallel parking holes in our town. They don't even teach parallel parking in driver's education here!

Thats scary. Our little town has alot of parallel parking. For some reason I'm pretty good at it. Maybe because I drove for a living with a CDL and drove buses and vans and got use to driving the big stuff then get in my truck and whip right into places. I have watched others try to park and its scary.
I didn't realize they didn't teach that in drivers ed. Maybe the instructors don't know how to do it so they don't teach it.

Dglvr,

Our driver's ed teacher graduated from here 20 years ago. I know for sure he didn't learn to parallel park in school, so you may be right about him not teaching it because he can't do it. I'd never thought of that!

Maybe he should go back to drivers ed training
In a bigger town of course. Thats whats bad in our town.
Kids learning to drive here. We don't even have a stop light.
They rely on the parents to teach them to drive in bigger cities.
Those new vehicles that will park for you is looking pretty good
I think. Maybe they'll come up with 1 that does all the driving.

I'll walk a mile before I'll parallel park. My problem is not the parking it's getting out of the parking space!
